Megan Filer is a massage therapist, yoga instructor and registered dietitian. Megan obtained her certification in massage therapy from Phoenix Therapeutic Massage College in 2002, specializing in deep tissue, therapeutic relaxation, and myofascial release. In 2006, she completed her certification as a Thai massage practitioner/instructor as well as a 200 hour YRT certificate in Ashtanga yoga while living in Thailand. Megan became certified in prenatal yoga in 2013 and offered prenatal wellness classes in a local Shreveport hospital. Megan continues to provide yoga classes for all ages and levels of physical capability in yoga studios, wellness facilities, hospital fitness centers, military bases, veteran hospitals, universities, and retirement communities. She has practiced massage therapy in wellness centers, spas, chiropractic offices and physical therapy clinics; receiving additional training in sports massage, lymphatic drainage, hot stone therapy, reiki, Traeger Technique and Rolfing. Megan obtained her graduate education and master's degree in nutrition from Louisiana Tech University in 2014. She has been actively practicing as a registered dietitian with a focus in the oncology, critical care, bariatric and cardiac rehab patient populations in Shreveport, LA for the past seven years. She became stress management specialist with Ornish Cardiac Rehab program in 2018. Megan is passionate about the delivery of evidence-based protocols to improve quality of life and outcomes for the patients at Feist Weiller Cancer Center with an integrative medicine focus.
