Ambassador Program

People draw more strength and knowledge from hearing directly from patients and caregivers.

At the Head and Neck Cancer Alliance, we strive to empower patients and survivors to share their journeys by understanding their disease, managing their treatment plan, celebrating their milestones and moving forward.

The Alliance Ambassadors are dedicated to educating the community-at-large about these cancers. Our ambassadors are cancer patients, survivors and/or caregivers whose inspirational journeys give true meaning to what happens when you are diagnosed with cancer, during and post-treatment.

Empower And Educate Others

Volunteer and become an Ambassador

About You

If you are a head and neck cancer patient, survivor or caregiver and would like to share your story with others to encourage early detection, promote research or advocate, please inquire about joining the Alliance Ambassadors. We are looking for people who are comfortable speaking in front of large and small audiences, are happy to share their journeys with the community and/or providing feedback on research projects.

What Is Involved?

Being a Alliance Ambassador is a voluntary role.

Once approved as a Alliance Ambassador, you will be contacted to share your journey at community events, with researchers, and/or at fundraising functions. All Ambassadors will work with the Alliance Vice President of Programs to optimize their presentations with the goal of educating others about head and neck cancer.

Your Impact

By sharing their own personal experiences, representatives inspire the public with their heartwarming and real accounts of their cancer journey. A human face and first-hand experience can be powerful tools to move audiences, helping them to understand and to recognize the role of research, encouraging them to take action, and most importantly, instilling hope for finding the cure.

How to Take Part

Please share the below details with us by filling the online form. Your 6-10 paragraph personal journey and photo may appear on the Alliance website and in other material.

Schedule An Ambassador

Our team here works with respective requestors to provide an individual who can offer his/her inspirational story with the insights, challenges, and an overall personal cancer journey narrative.

If you are looking to schedule an ambassador for an upcoming event, we ask that you provide us with at least a month’s lead time to schedule an ambassador for your event. Depending on the location of the event, please know that travel expenses are the responsibility of the requesting company/organization.
