ABOUT THE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM:
For several decades, the Alliance has been proud to support head and neck cancer patients through financial assistance. In 2026, we successfully provided over 800 patients with gift cards.
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS PROGRAM, PATIENTS MUST:
- Have a recent diagnosis of head and neck cancer (cancers of the brain, eye, esophagus, thyroid, and early cancers of the skin of face and scalp do not qualify for this program)
- Be undergoing an active treatment plan, which may include chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgery, immunotherapy, etc.
- Live in the United States
- Have their application submitted by a healthcare professional on their care team (such as a nurse, patient navigator, or medical social worker). We do not accept applications directly from patients, their families/friends, or non-medical caregivers
It’s important to note that for the purpose of this assistance, cancers of the brain, eye, esophagus, thyroid, and early-stage skin cancers on the face and scalp do not fall under the category of head and neck cancers eligible for the gas card distribution.

APPLICATION PROCESS
Below is the application for a member of the patient’s care team to apply. Please be sure to include the correct email address of the patient as well as mailing address. Also, be prepared to select one of the following for your patient:
- Visa gas gift card (mailed to patient)
- Electronic $50 gift card from either Target or Walmart (emailed to patient)
Important note for patients: If you are a patient, please do not submit your own application. Applications submitted directly by the patient, the patient’s family/friends, or other non-medical caregivers will not be accepted. Please have a member of your care team do it for you.
