Based in Jacksonville, the Florida HNCA chapter has a diverse group of member volunteers. Their backgrounds range from healthcare, military, business owners, and, most importantly, survivors and family members of head and neck cancer. Together, they have been active in organizing various community efforts to provide support and education for various oral, head and neck cancers.
The Florida chapter and its affiliates have participated in the annual Oral Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Week® (OHANCAW®) for the past three years. In addition to local community efforts during OHANCAW®, Florida HNCA members are continuously active in various community outreach programs reaching out to children and adults in hope to educate and raise awareness.

I believe that my success as a cancer patient is first due to the process of recognition on a basic level, that something in my body was not the same as it was and I was worse off.Jessica Tar National Spokesperson for HNCA & squamous cell carcinoma survivor
