Naren’s legacy is first and foremost one of a great father and role model.

Naren always stressed to his sons the value and meaning of courage.  He demonstrated his own in 1967, when he left behind his family and the only life he ever knew in order to journey to America for education and opportunity.

A very learned man, Naren instilled the value of education and continuous learning in his sons.  Nothing brought him more pride than watching their educational achievements.

An avid, self taught photographer, Naren parlayed his hobby into a pioneering and award winning career.

A successful entrepreneur, Naren was the classic American success story. While mindful of his Indian heritage, he was an extremely proud American.

Naren was enamored with the power and beauty of nature.  He took great pride in planting trees and gardening and respected and nurtured all living things.

Naren had a passion for cooking, and enjoying good food and drink with friends and family.

Survived by his two sons, Naren was a selfless, compassionate and generous man who’s strength and courage were belied by his gentle nature.

Even in sickness and his eventual passing Naren was a model of courage and selflessness, worrying more about how his illness affected others then his own pain and suffering.

Anyone fortunate enough to have been touched by Naren, has lost a father, grandfather, friend, teacher, mentor and compassionate pillar of strength.
