Of course, we encourage any of you to host your event at a time that is most
convenient for you, but we focus our marketing efforts on events held during April and May.
Here are the final numbers from OHANCAW 2011.
- Total number of OHANCAW sites: 295
- Total number screened: 11,819
- Total number referred for routine follow-up: 4,590
- Total number referred for further evaluation: 1,726
- Total number referred for immediate consultation for suspected neoplasm: 312
- Potential lives saved due to early detection: 2,038
We certainly surpassed our goal this year due to several factors, including publicity from Michael Douglas, the wonderful effort on the part of area reps from our sponsors, and the hard work of the volunteers from all of the screening sites around the world.
