Head & Neck Cancer Factoid

In 2005 there will be about 65,000 new cases of head and neck cancers in the United States. About 12,500 people will die of this disease during this year. Head and neck cancers may include cancer of the mouth, throat, voice box, saliva glands and thyroid.                      

Of all cancers, 570,280 Americans are expected to die this year from cancer with one of every 4 deaths caused by cancer.
